Some of you may recognise Lisa from Scott House. Lisa looks after Scott House for us, making sure it’s a beautiful and cosy ‘Home from Home’ for all our families.

Lisa goes above and beyond in her job and every day comes in voluntarily an hour earlier to make sure that Scott House is clean and tidy, ready for the families to wake up to. She has been working at Scott House since it opened in October 2014 and says:

“Coming in early every day is no problem, it puts me ahead of my day and most importantly it means all the families who are staying at Scott House feel at home when they come and make breakfast.

“I love working at Scott House, with the team and speaking to families who are staying here. I find myself becoming quite attached to them and it can be really emotional when families have been here a long time and say goodbye. But I absolutely love working here, and coming in an extra hour a day is nothing.”

House Manager, Andrew, says: “Lisa is a valued member of the team and strives to achieve a clean and welcoming environment for our families. She takes great pride in her role and cares a lot for our families and at times goes above and beyond her role. Lisa gives up an hour every day of her time to come in early so our communal areas are clean and tidy for our families waking up, which our families appreciate.”
