At their 12 week scan, it was revealed that Paul and Fran’s daughter had gastroschisis – a birth defect which meant her bowel would be on the outside of her body when she was born. Stevenson House supported the couple until Sydney was well enough to leave – around a month later. And she has just celebrated her first Christmas and will be celebrating her first birthday next month.

Jade was diagnosed with cervical cancer seven years ago and although she beat it, sadly she was told she may never become pregnant.
