Edward's parents are supporting The Sick Children's Trust's Christmas appeal as thanks for giving them a 'Home from Home' at Stevenson House.
Being able to make your seriously ill child their favourite meal before an operation is what makes the ‘Homes from Home’ so special.

Just after his fifth birthday, James was diagnosed with retinoblastoma. Since then James has undergone chemotherapy and attended The Royal London Hospital where he had to have his eye removed. The SIck Children's Trust has supported James' family at Stevenson House during this time. And as a thank you, James and his family have joined in our first ever Christmas appeal!
Daisy and I could spend some time together, at a place we could cook and have a good night’s rest night before her appointments.

At just 12 months old, Daisy was diagnosed with bilateral retinoblastoma. Throughout her whole life she has been in and out of specialist hospitals in the UK and in Canada. During her treatment at The Royal London Hospital, we supported her family at Stevenson House.

At their 12 week scan, it was revealed that Paul and Fran’s daughter had gastroschisis – a birth defect which meant her bowel would be on the outside of her body when she was born. Stevenson House supported the couple until Sydney was well enough to leave – around a month later. And she has just celebrated her first Christmas and will be celebrating her first birthday next month.

Before their daughter had even turned 36 hours old, Stephanie and George experienced every parent's worse nightmare when she became seriously ill and rushed off to SCBU. Kiara had a swollen tummy and possible bowel infection and needed transferring to The Royal London Hospital, where we supported them at Stevenson House.

Last Autumn, Phoebe Kane, 15, was hit by a car outside Police Cadets, she was rushed to The Royal London for emergency, specialist treatment. Her parents were told she may never wake up, and if she did she may not recover. But in five weeks, she made a miraculous recover, and during that time her family were with her thanks to Stevenson House.
