The Sick Children's Trust was selected as one of Encore Personnel charity partners for 2018 and has received a donation of £6,000 as a result of their fundraising.

That’s why charity The Sick Children’s Trust is asking the nation to dig deep to support families with seriously ill children in hospital this Christmas, by donating £30 to keep them together in free ‘Home from Home’ accommodation.

A Rotherham dad and his childhood friend are taking on a marathon football challenge to raise money for The Sick Children’s Trust to thank the charity for supporting his family while his son was in hospital. Andy Watson will be attempting to take 1,000 penalty kicks in 12 hours against his childhood friend, Jake Lee, in the hope to raise £3,000.

Last year, Amy Inman donated a kidney to her daughter, Flo. Flo was born with a range of complex birth defects which meant countless nights in Leeds Children's Hospital. Her family have been supported by Eckersley House on five occasions, with it become a 'Home from Home' for Amy, Dickie and Flo's sister, Tilly.

Without the support The Sick Children’s Trust gave us, we would’ve missed many of our son’s first moments as well as key moments in Esme’s life.

Esme's parents and brother Kelyn spent 11.5 months at Rainbow House while she waited on the heart transplant list. Rainbow House became a 'Home from Home' to them all, giving them one less thing to worry about while they waited for a call to say a heart had become available.

When Patricia was three months old she was diagnosed with a tumour in her liver. Despite chemotherapy to shrink the tumour, Patricia needed a full liver transplant. Her mum, Sophie, was a suitable match and earlier this year donated part of her liver. We supported Andrew and Sophie at Eckerlsey House.
